I've never liked molding or stock badges on my vehicles.

So, yesterday I got an idea... http://www.ramforumz.com/images/smilies/thk.gif
I got out my molding removal tools and supplies - some 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover, a plastic spackling knife, some clean rags and the buffer with some light rubbing compound, wax and polish.

First I gently pried down on the top of the adhesive strip next to the body with the spackling knife and then sprayed the badges and strips with some adhesive remover. After waiting a few minutes, I started in on removing the the stuff.

I got all the stuff off the truck.

But, because this is 10-year old double sided sticky tape, it didn't come off real clean.

So, I spent about an hour per side removing the rest of the adhesive residue with the 3M stuff and several clean rags.
Then, I used the buffer with some light rubbing compound to remove the dirt lines, then waxed and polished up one side. http://www.ramforumz.com/images/smilies/smileup.gif

I finished up the other side today.
The truck still needs a paint job due to the vandalism done to it earlier this year http://www.ramforumz.com/images/smilies/po.gif but I like it a lot better without the exterior adornments!
