i just did not want to pay $500 for something i could make myself, it helps that i am a welder-fitter, i cut, fit and welded all the components and i used a plasma cutter to make the R/T plate and just tacked the plate to make the piece more rigid. it took a bit of time to make it fit properly before i welded it up. i have seen some people who have purchased the aftermarket strut braces have one heck of a time getting them on the car. mine slipped into place with no strain on the bolts and what a difference in the ride. i was unsure how much of a change this would make, but wow does it ever, no more drift and the hood does not flex when i am on the highway.
