Hi, I am doing a 71 charger R/T 440 six pack clone. I have the bulge hood, the R/T doors, R/T tail lights, fresh 440. I am looking for the rally gauges, bucket seats, six back carb, R/T hood louvered insert, and someone in the area that can do great body work and paint for a reasonable price. I'm a college student, with limited funds building a car I can die with. Im sure you mopar nuts understand. (P.S. I order my hood and doors Jan 16th, so if you guys know where I can find the R/T hood and doors for a reasonable price as well, it wouldn't hurt to have a plan B) Thx everyone, and Merry Christmas.
Mr. Green

Oh man! Is somebody finally repopping those hoods and doors? Those are really hard to find. I have a '72 Charger P code 400, It came with R/T tail lights and I found some Ralleye doors for it, one was damaged and had to have work done to it, and they were still expensive! Do you have the dual exhaust rear valence? Those are kinda tough as well.
If you need parts for the 3rd gen stuff, check with rob at www.rocpar.com (http://www.rocpar.com) he may not have the parts, but he can put you on track to find what you need. I've dealt with him and he's a good guy!
My '72 should be coming out of the body shop soon, all the body work is done, mostly custom fab because I couldn't find any repop body panels. I did find fiberglass fenders, but once I ordered them I had to wait about 4 months for them to be made and they didn't have mounting tabs, so if you're interested in those, I'm more than happy to dig through my paperwork and get you the source, but you better have a good fiberglass guy if you're not one. Once the paint is laid, it will be Sublime green with the '71 body stripe and hood decal and the "Go Wing".
If you run across an air grabber hood I'd love to get one.. the last one I saw, I don't think was fixable and the guy wanted 3k for it.
Also, for the old chargers, check these guys out, they have regional meets and the one I went to was pretty fun. I will be attending more when I get the car back together. http://www.dodgechargerregistry.com They are the keepers of the master list of old chargers. Wayne Wooten is the head guy, he's cool!
Welcome, it's good to see someone else with old iron in the mix here!
