After picking up my new 300SRT8 I would truly like to have some fun and do a few mods. I had a 07 300 SRT8 before this one, however it was leased so I never did anything to it other than tint the Windows. I looked at the Billet Tech. site and liked what I saw, however I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on anything they have purchased there. Also does anyone have anything they can share about the Diablo sport Preditor. And last does anyone have any experience looking into a paddle shifter that works well with the 6.1l hemi, this I've been having trouble trying to find.
Out of curiosity if you had a choice between the Hennessey 6.1L turbo charged engine or the Hennessey 6.1L superchared engine (both producing over600HP) which would you pick? And why?

Hey Bully, Congratz on your new SRT8, way to go, bud.
Ok, now for the important stuff. I have plenty of the BT stuff. They are the premier vendor for billet alum stuff for our LXs. Also, you can custom order just about anything you want. Their customer service is to be rivaled in excellence. You definitely will NOT be disappointed with them. Their blingage is simply awesome and desired by all.
As for the Predator, in my opinion it's a must have mod, simply because it's a great foundation to base all your other mods on. So many parameters can be adjusted to make your SRT go from drab to drag. It also, contains canned tunes that will definitely wake that 6.1L. If you decide to take it to the track it will do data logging too. Later, if you decide you want to return your car to stock, the stock parameters are preserved in the Predator. I tell you there are so many variables that can be adjusted that it's almost dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Most importantly, once you 'marry' it to you car, it cannot be used on any other vehicle unless you 'unmarry' it. Along with the Predator, if I may make a recommandation, get a CAI, a 180t-stat and a catch can. That is the first stage mod.
The person you want to talk to about Paddle shifters is Maddog (Michael) from the 300'Z'. He even has a how-to. I'll post the link if I can find it. Here you go:

As for the supercharger etc, that's way over my head, Bro. I've haven't a clue as to which is the better. Sorry!!
Lastly, check out the 300 'Z' (http://www.300cforumz.com/), so much to do, so little funds!! Tell'em Dave sent you.
I hope that info helped and get's you started!! Happy Modding!!

Dave once again I thank you. I already have CAI and catch can ordered, should be in by Monday. Also had my windows tinted last week, and while at the tint shop picked up a front pair of weathertech molded floor mats for winter and they are just great since we have so much snow and salt up here.
I kinda feel like a kid in a candy store since I won this car, now that I'm getting back my down payment and have my sixty month loan paid off by Chryco. my wife says as long as I take her to St.Lucia for two weeks I can pretty much do what I want to the car ( within reason). The problem is there are just so many options, part manufacturers, styles, etc that when you have never done this before it is a bit overwhelming

You're very welcome, Bull. It's my pleasure to help, after all that's why we're all here, to learn. What CAI did you go with?? Sounds like you've already have a good leg up on the mods.
I think the best way to approach the mods is to ask yourself, "Self, what do I want to do??? Go for more power or go for the show-n-shine aspect of modding??". I went with a little of both at the same time. A little bling with a lot of zing. I would suggest the best way to get some of the mods you may be contemplating to get would be through a group buy. Another way to get some ideas is to check out the photo galleries in some of the forumz. You could always ask the members what they would suggest. You'll get a million ideas. I just read what was good for me and picked out what I wanted. Since you've already had an SRT8 you know what's out there for those beasts. It's just a matter of picking what you want, to accomplish your goal.
Since your wife more or less has given you free reign on your mods, then I would certainly take care of what she wants first. LOL Then let the modding begin.

Dave is right about the BT and the predator. Get all you want from them in any design you want and you won't be sorry. The predator is a great tool and one that you'll need if you start doing performance mods. It'll help get you the most out of your car.
Paddle shifters are very nice, I have a set. There is a member on LXF that makes a kit for them that you'll need to get, PLCman, and then you'll need to find some paddles. My understanding is that the paddles are getting a little hard to find right now but they can be found or might be on back order. If you are good with wiring and can handle some basic hand tools you can do this mod yourself. Just takes some time and patients.
As far as supercharger vs turbo the turbo is going to be more maintanence and cost you more. There are lots of supercharger options out there but I'm not sure which one is best. Hennessey is located not far from me and the reputation is questionable. I know that he has done some work with the hemi's but it isn't their area of expertise. I would look for a shop that really knows this platform and how to tune them to get the most out of it. I've seen a motor blow up at idle because the installer didn't get the tune right on a supercharger.
