Question... How can I tell what type of tranny I have?

I've got a Charger 3.5L V6 SE+... is there a way to identify the type of tranny I have? I am looking at adding in a mod that will allow me to down shift and up shift and thought I should know if this is a 4 or 5 speed. I've heard the 4 speeds are not compatible...

Any advice or help all y'all have would be greatly appreciated.

The way I found out, I used the Predator to modify my shifting and realized I could go into 5th gear. Before that mod, the best I could do was 4th gear than drive. Or you can go to the dealership and have them run your vin number to see what you have.

The Pred is a possible mod for me this year... interesting motivation!! Thanks brutha'... anyone else know of a link to check your vin from home or does it have to be a dealer. (Not opposed to the dealer... just dig on doing it from home)
