I like the look of the smooth tail lights that come on the 05 and older Rams. So I'm thinking of swapping my new gen tails for the older gen ones. Are they a direct fit or would I have to settle for something else? Thanks all.

As I can't remember what year you have, I'll throw it all out. The 02-06 smooth taillights all have the same wiring harness, and the '07-08s 3D taillights have the same harness, the mounting points are the same for all the 3rd gen rams ('02-08), so as long as you can wire them yourself, you're laughing. They will fit into the same hole, just becareful removing the taillights, don't break the plastic mounting cups as they are nigh imposible to find. There's also several aftermarket manufacturers that do smooth LED taillights for the 07/08s as well. I have the Recon ones and am quite happy.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it. I could have swore I had my truck in the sig, oh well. It's an 07. I just don't like the look of the 3D lenses as much as the smooth lenses. Whenever I get around to getting a set, I'll post some pics. Thanks again.

I hear you on that ^^^^ It took a while for the 3D lenses to grow on me, too, just didn't seem like a Dodge thing to me.....more GMC.
