The Nitro was long over due for some new shoes.
Here is what I got, with a little help from Mom.
She said that since she didn't get me an X-mass gift last year, she would pay for 2, if I paid for the other 2.
Got to give credit where credit is due... :) Thanks Mom!
Les Schwab Mountaincat E/T, 245/70R -17, "E" load rated, 30.5" diameter, on my stock rims.

They have a nice aggressive tread for the mud and snow. But look even better in real life!

These things are freaking Awesome!
There is some real meat on these things!

Just look at that tread depth.

I did a little research on these tires and discovered they are a "Dick Cepek" tire, made for Les Schwab. Notice the the "D" over the "C" built into the side tread. It also has his name on it in small print.

I know some of you are going to want to know.
They are noisy on the road and ride a bit more rough. I love it!

Here is a Pic of the "Look". My fenders don't look like they are starving anymore.

I took it to the ramp at the fair grounds, to flex it again.
Even with the tire all stuffed up in the rear, there is no rubbing.

Then I checked for front rub... NONE! Yea!!!

Here is the front of the R.F. tire, looking up from the ground. This is as close as it gets to the wheel-well liner.

Here is one of the back of the L.F tire. This is the closest point as well. No liner trimming needed. :D

They don't stick out as far as I would like. But I am OK with that, because there is no rubbing what-so-ever.(Flexed or not.)

Now I need to give her a good wash and get a new Sig Pic.

For those who have never heard of Les Schwab (http://www.lesschwab.com/default.asp) tire, they are a local tire company serving the Pacific North West. I have gotten all my tires there since the 80's. Great company.
